'Paint the Town: Surry Hills through a coloured lens' is a photographic exploration capturing the people, places and colour of Surry Hills. A personal photo-documentary method is adopted where the images are reminiscent of a snapshot aesthetic.
The goal is to photograph democratically - where the ordinary and the mundane become interesting, and worth capturing.
Colour photography is chosen to elevate a sense of vibrancy that surrounds Surry Hill.
The final outcome consisted of a photographic exhibition, three photo models and a 32-page concertina book.
